General information

Vision Investments AG is a group of companies based in Sarnen.

This privacy policy applies to the entire Vision Investments AG and its associated companies, in particular GEG-Parks and NPC AG. In this privacy policy, we explain how we collect and process personal data when you visit our website, contact us, use our services or when we otherwise obtain personal data and where this data is stored.

We process personal data lawfully and comply with the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG; DSV) and – where applicable – the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union. We ensure that the technical and organisational measures (TOMs) correspond to the state of the art and that data security is guaranteed.

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time. The version published on the Vision Investments AG website is the current version.

Processed personal data and processing purposes

We process the data of persons with whom we have had and still have an active business relationship, including potential new customers. In addition, we process personal data that we receive from you via contact form, e-mail, post, telephone or in a personal conversation. Personal data that does not originate from active or former customers is only processed if the persons concerned have given their consent to receive communications such as e-mail notifications or newsletters.

We also process personal data for marketing purposes, namely all business-promoting measures such as newsletters, push notifications for market research, conducting analyses and surveys and for statistical purposes.

Personal data is also collected in the context of the use of our website. The data processing is carried out to ensure our operations, in particular the IT and website. We also process personal data to comply with laws, instructions and recommendations from authorities and internal regulations.

We may process personal data for other purposes that are necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests (e.g. quality control). In doing so, we limit our processing to personal data that is required to carry out and process our tasks and services in an effective, user-friendly, permanent, secure and reliable manner.

We process the following categories of personal data by name:

 

Master data (e.g. company name, identification numbers, first and last name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, details of previous business dealings, details of enquiries, offers and contracts);

 

Origin of the data

The majority of the data we process you provide to us yourself, e.g. in connection with our services and communication with us.

 

Disclosure to third parties

We may disclose personal data to third parties in the context of acquisitions or the sale of business divisions. If the entire legal entity is acquired by sale, the personal data automatically becomes the property of the purchasing party.

If you attend a (customer) event organised by us, your contact details will be registered for the purpose of registration. If the event is organised by a third party on behalf of Vision Investments AG, it is possible that the personal data collected may have to be passed on to these third parties. The disclosure is limited exclusively to the data absolutely necessary for the smooth organisation and execution of the event. If a third party wishes to use the personal data received from us, this is only permitted with your explicit consent.

 

International data transfer

We process and store personal data mainly in Switzerland and the European Economic Area (EEA).

 Personal data may be processed by authorised third parties or jointly with third parties. These are third parties acting on behalf of Vision Investments AG (e.g. IT company). Such third parties are generally located in Switzerland or the European Economic Area (EEA). We point out to commissioned third parties that data is only stored and processed in Switzerland or the EEA.

If a recipient is located in a country without adequate data protection, we ensure that the consent of the data subject has been obtained. We may disclose personal data to a country without adequate data protection without obtaining consent if we can rely on an exception to this rule. An exception may apply in particular in the case of legal proceedings abroad, but also in cases of overriding public interests or if the performance of a contract that is in your interest requires such disclosure, or if it is not possible to obtain your consent within a reasonable period of time and the disclosure is necessary to protect your life or physical integrity or that of a third party, or if it concerns data that you have made generally accessible and whose processing you have not objected to.

 

Processors

Third parties that provide services on behalf of Vision Investments AG are considered processors.

We conclude order processing contracts with the order processors, which guarantee the requirements and measures for compliance with data protection legislation. We only disclose data to processors to the extent necessary for them to provide their services.

Processors who process personal data on behalf of Vision Investments AG are based in Switzerland, but may also be based in the EU or other countries. For appropriate protection, please refer to the information in section 6 above (International data transfer).

 

Storage period

Your personal data will only be stored by us for as long as required by the processing purpose described in section 3 ‘Processed personal data and processing purposes’, the statutory retention periods and our legitimate interests, in particular for documentation and evidence purposes, or if storage is technically necessary (e.g. in the case of backups or document management systems). If there are no legal or contractual obligations or technical reasons to the contrary, we will generally delete or anonymise your data after ten years. Under certain circumstances, we are obliged to retain personal data for longer periods, for example if it is used to enforce or defend rights or for legally compliant archiving.

Use of cookies, media plug-ins and similar services

When you use our website, data is collected that is stored in logs (in particular technical data). We also use cookies to recognise website visitors, evaluate their behaviour and identify preferences. A cookie is a small file that is transmitted between the server and your system and enables a specific device or browser to be recognised.

You can set your browser so that it automatically rejects, accepts or deletes cookies. You can also deactivate or delete cookies in individual cases. You can find out how to manage cookies in your browser in your browser’s help menu.

Neither the technical data collected by us nor cookies generally contain any personal data. However, personal data that we or third-party providers commissioned by us store about you may be linked to the technical data or to the information stored in and obtained from cookies and thus possibly to your person.

 

We also use social media plug-ins, which are small pieces of software that establish a connection between your visit to our website and a third-party provider. The social media plug-in informs the third-party provider that you have visited our website and may send the third-party provider cookies that it has previously placed on your web browser. Emailing and electronic communication for direct marketing purposes

Without your explicit revocation, we are generally permitted to send you digital or printed marketing/sales information, such as product information, offers, event information, project information, invitations, etc., without your explicit revocation.

We are committed to respecting your rights and inform you that you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

•     Unsubscribe from marketing communications (newsletter) at any time;
•     Right to erasure of your personal data;
•     Revocation of your consent if you have voluntarily provided us with personal data or have otherwise consented to our      use of your data;

•     Right to object to data processing; 

Please note that conditions, exceptions or restrictions apply to these rights (e.g. to protect third parties or business secrets or due to legal obligations and in the public interest).
